Ten Years Ago

2.) Where did you go to school?
smith college. *sigh*
3.) Where did you work?
i kicked ass in the kitchen washing dishes with sam. we always showed up 15 minutes late and nobody cared because we worked so quickly that we could all get out 20 minutes early anyway.
4.) Where did you live?
cutter house, room 233. all my friends smoked and hated it that they couldn't smoke in my room, so the next year i got a smoking room and then was never in it.
5.) Where did you hang out?
sam's room, mostly. also we shot pool at davis a lot. the first semester i spent mostly hanging out in lesbian chat rooms on dalnet. i used to mIRC until the cows came home. i know, you are blown away by how cool i am right now.
6.) Did you wear glasses?
yes.
7.) Who were your best friends?
sam.
8.) How many tattoos did you have?
zero.
9.) How many piercings did you have?
one in each ear.
10.) What car did you drive?
no car, no license, didn't drive.
11.) Had you been to a real party?
um, yes.
12.) Had your heart been broken?
many times.
13.) Single/Taken/Married/Divorced?
ten years ago tonight? single. i spent most of that year single, although i had a fateful month or two where i was partnered and a few memorable nights where i was...engaged. not to be married, just busy.

i didn't at that time.

del rio live!, an ISP and online newsmagazine.

texas.

wal-mart.

yes.

well, my sweetie, of course, and chicky, of course. but locally, i was just starting to make friends. i knew susan and that was pretty close to it.

one.
9.) How many piercings did you have?
same as before.
10) What car did you drive?
a 1989 ford taurus wagon with the paint peeling off the hood.

my heart was done being broken at that point, thank goodness.

Today

for a marketing office.
3.) Where do you live?
an apartment in ohio. it has vaulted ceilings in the living room. it feels positively palatial. (sp?)
4.) Do you wear glasses?
yes.
5.) Who are your best friends?
my sweetie and chicky, again, and katy and kristen and john and geoff.
6.) Where do you hang out?
mostly my apartment, also katy's and kristen's a lot.
7.) Do you talk to your old friends?
some of them. i've gotten back in touch with a lot of people because of myspace, facebook, and our ten-year high school reunion this past summer. there are still people i miss and wish i talked to more.
8.) How many tattoos do you have?
one.
9.) How many piercings do you have?
same as before.
10.) What kind of car do you have?
2000 vw new beetle. it's freaking adorable and i love it, and i feel kinda awesome for driving stick shift. i have strong bad and the cheat clings on my windshield.

omg, i spent my entire first semester at reed chatting away on IRC to random people who lived across the country instead of like making friends with the actual people who lived all around me! i was really supercool too :p

Date: 2007-10-29 03:20 am (UTC)are you excited about how the series is going? i've been rooting for the rockies just b/c i followed baseball some when i lived out there, but i'm happy for the sox that they're doing so well. it's pretty great all around.

Date: 2007-10-29 04:36 am (UTC)I'm happy that the Sox did it (again!) but I would also have been happy for the Rockies and their fans if they'd done it instead. It's always nice to see a new team win it, instead of the same ones (think Yankees) winning over and over again.
Now it's time to concentrate on the Patriots. And the Titans, but don't tell any of my fellow New Englanders I said that!
